Hello Analytics peeps:

For those interested in studying data from the Survey of Consumer Finances, I have just written a script that develops functions to analyze the data.  The SCF is a national survey of what people own, owe, earn, and spend.  It comes out every three years; the 2022 survey just came out this November.  It's a fresh, high-quality, national data set on a topic people love to discuss: money.  Click here to see a list of variables: https://sda.berkeley.edu/sdaweb/docs/scfcomb/DOC/hcbkx01.htm#1.HEADING

If you are interested in the SCF, check out these scripts and have at it.  I am validating and testing the functions as part of an R package to study this data set.  Students who have taken 712 should recognize this endeavor as one that requires us to consider issues raised in our modules on survey data analysis and missing data handling.

Please let me know if the functions don't work or if you see an error. If you would like to help develop the package over the spring semester, please let me know.
