As you may know, this year, Christine Jang-Trettien, Peter Ore, Anna Skarpelis, and I are co-organizing the Queens Sociology Seminar and Workshop series. We are excited to announce that two guest speakers, Tami Ozery (Oct 2) and Yongjun Zhang (Oct 18), will be visiting QC in the Fall to share their exciting research with us! Our first meeting will take place next Monday (Oct 2) at 4 p.m. in PH-110. We will have Tami Ozery<https://tamargo.huji.ac.il/> from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem as our speaker. She will be discussing law and political economy in China's new era. Please find more details in the flyer below. This meeting will primarily be in-person (food and beverages will be served!). As we kick off the Sociology Department Seminar Series, there is nothing better than seeing our community back on campus together and engaging with each other. We strongly encourage you to attend the seminar in person. If you are unable to come in person, you can also join the talk via Zoom.
