It is a nice way to get some visibility and feature the wonderful work you have done as student. Nothing has been confirmed yet, but it will likely be virtual where you will apply via an abstract and, once accepted, prepare a short presentation on your research that will be reviewed by local professionals. It is a contest where the winners are usually awarded upwards of $500 to $1000. They still have to nail down the specifics and I will get them to you when they are released. Meantime, if this is something that interests you, please contact me and I will share what I know. PS. It is highly competitive but we have had two instances where students from Queens College won awards.
