LinkedIn: What is it and Why is it Useful?

Please join Professor Holly Reed for a workshop on how to use LinkedIn, which can be a great resource for career development.

LinkedIn is a social network for professionals to connect, share, and learn. Using LinkedIn can assist you with job searching, networking, and keeping on top of new developments in your career.

In this one-hour workshop, we will cover many of the basics of using LinkedIn to grow your career, including:

How to create your profile
How to connect with colleagues
How to join our MA program alumni group
How to build your LinkedIn resume and search for jobs
How to network on LinkedIn

This workshop will be useful for current students who are starting to look for internships or jobs, as well as for alumni who are looking for their next job or who haven't used LinkedIn much before.

The workshop will be held on Zoom and will be recorded. Zoom link to follow after Spring Break...
