today to ensure all employees know that the Department of Citywide Administrative Services (DCAS) will have the Administrative
Education Analyst Exam No. 4002 open for filing from August 2, 2023 - August 22, 2023. It is
a great opportunity to obtain permanency and access promotional opportunities within NYC Public Schools. We encourage all eligible employees who qualify for the title to consider taking this exam and the next step in their professional journey.
Please note:

The Administrative Education Analyst title is widely used in Central Offices.

This title is NOT used
in school-based locations.

You MUST qualify
to be eligible for permanency. Please review the qualifications below before applying.

The Department of Citywide Administrative Services does not provide any refunds for exam fees.
Minimum Qualification Requirements

A master's degree from an accredited college in economics, finance, accounting, business or public administration, human resources management, management science,
operations research, organizational behavior, industrial psychology, statistics, personnel administration, labor relations, psychology, sociology, human resources development, political science, urban studies, or a closely related field, or a Juris Doctor
degree from an accredited law school and two years of satisfactory full-time professional experience, for educational program(s) and/or institution(s) in one or a combination of the following: working with the budget of a large public or private concern in
budget administration, accounting economic or financial administration, fiscal or economic research; management or methods analysis, operations research, organizational research or program evaluation; educational, personnel or public administration, recruitment,
position classification, personnel relations, labor relations, employee benefits, staff development, employment program planning/administration, labor market research, economic planning, fiscal management, or a related area, 18 months of this experience must
have been in an executive, managerial, administrative, consultative or supervisory capacity. Supervision must have included supervising staff performing professional work in the areas described above; or

A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and four years of satisfactory full-time professional experience as described in "1" above,
including the 18 months of executive, managerial, administrative, consultative, or supervisory experience described in "1" above;
or

Education and/or experience equivalent to "1"
or "2"
above. Graduate education in areas other than those mentioned above may be substituted for the professional experience but not for the 18 months of managerial experience described in "1"
above, at the rate of 15 graduate semester credits from an accredited college or university for six (6) months up to a maximum of 1 year of professional experience. However,
all candidates must possess a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and 18 months of executive, managerial, administrative, consultative, or supervisory experience, as described in "1" above.

On or after August 2nd, view and print a copy of the Notice
of Examination (NOE) for this test, Administrative Education Analyst Exam
No. 4002. Read the document carefully and follow the instructions under the "How To Apply" section to file for the exam.

Do not wait until the last minute to file! DCAS will not make any exceptions to the filing deadline – we strongly recommend that you file no later than 48 hours
before the filing deadline for each exam you wish to take.

You must determine whether you meet this examination's education and experience requirements before submitting your application. The education requirement must
be met by January 31, 2024.
The experience requirement must be met by the last day of the Application Period (August 22, 2023).

This notice pertains to the open competitive Administrative Education Analyst examination, 4002. The promotional exam, 4501, is only available
to candidates with permanency in the Associate Education Analyst title. If you accidentally sign up for the promotional exam, DCAS will not refund your fee or transfer your application to the open competitive exam.

An Education and Experience Exam will determine your score. You will receive a score of 70 points for meeting the education and experience
requirements listed in the Notice of Exam (NOE). After these requirements are met, you will receive an additional credit of up to 100 points, as described in the NOE.

If you do not Final Submit your Education and Experience Exam in OASys by the last day of the Application Period (August
22, 2023), your examination will be considered incomplete, you will not be entitled to the appeals process, you will
not receive a score, you will not be invited to subsequent portions of this examination (if applicable), and your application fee will not be refunded.

Please note the information regarding selective certification on the NOE. If you qualify for Selective
Certification, you may be given preferred consideration for positions requiring specific certifications and/or experience. Follow the onscreen instructions when completing the Education and Experience Exam to indicate your interest in applying for Selective
Certification and Final Submit it in the Online
Application System (OASys).
