Selected participants will receive a complimentary registration.
In efforts of introducing the field of public opinion research to more students and diversifying the future of
AAPOR membership, AAPOR is inviting local students to attend the 79th AAPOR Annual Conference.

Participant’s schedule will include:

Meeting the association president and conference co-chairs
-
Having an assigned conference guide
-
Participation in a professional development workshop
-
A poster presentation competition timeslot
-
Attendance at several sessions
-
Time to meet attendees, exhibitors, mentors, fellow presenters, and committee members at the welcome reception
Eligibility Requirements:
-
Current Graduate Student Studying Statistics, Communications, Public Opinion, Survey Methodology, Sociology, Public Policy, Psychology, Political Science,
STEM, or other directly related fields

Local to or able to travel to Atlanta, GA May 15 - 17, 2024

Submit Research to Present. Eligible original research is open to poster, paper, project, or theory

Student Volunteer Opportunities
Do you have students who want to attend the Annual Conference but don't qualify for the Conference Experience?
They can volunteer and receive a complimentary registration!
Eligibility Requirements:

These positions are open to current university students who plan to attend the 2024 Annual Conference in Atlanta
-
Students who apply must be AAPOR student members or willing to become student members by the time volunteer assignments are made
-
Spaces are limited so students who are interested in volunteering should submit an application asap to be considered
Roles available:
-
Session Volunteer – Students selected for these positions will be responsible for conducting room counts during sessions and reporting accurate numbers to
AAPOR staff, providing support during the Speed Networking, assisting during the Fun(d) Run, and/or Poster sessions

Social Media Volunteer – Students selected for this position will report to AAPOR’s Director of Communications and tasked with writing up blog blurbs for
assigned sessions

Communications Volunteer (Can cross over with Social Media or Session Volunteer)- Students selected for this position will report to AAPOR’s Director of
Communications and tasked with live tweeting, taking pictures, utilizing social media, etc
Selected students will receive a complimentary registration to attend the conference in exchange for volunteering
an assigned period of time during the conference, around four to six hours of work.
