Good Afternoon Student Leaders! ?While strides in equality are reversed, and LGBTQIA+ Americans find themselves at greater risk with fewer protections, hate groups emboldened by political leaders are growing in strength. It is time to take action. What does this mean? How do we mobilize? What outcomes do we want? On Wednesday, October 28th during free hour, this student panel discussion will be moderated by former NYC Council Member and Queens College Professor, Jimmy Vacca. NYC Council Member, Ritchie Torres (District 15), will provide some opening remarks before we unpack many of the issues facing LGBTQI+ Americans.?
