The FDA process requires financial statement analysis, the review and entering of financial statement data into the database, and performing accounting adjustments to the financial data per methodology requirements. The FDA will have to liaise with analysts, outsourcers, and accounting specialists in order to understand the rated entities in the portfolio. FDAs regularly interact with Moody's Analysts with regards to financial data needed for analysis and publications. The team is responsible for learning and understanding financial statements. In addition to regular daily responsibilities, FDAs will have the opportunity to work on new projects. The team is regularly provided with valuable training classes and interaction with Analysts as part of career growth. The FDA position provides a unique opportunity to foster skills that are valuable to any future career in the financial services industry Public Finance Analytics-NY · B.A. or B.S. degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics. · Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products and particularly Excel. · Knowledge or prior experience analyzing financial statements is required. · Knowledge or prior experience in accounting is a plus. · Individual must be organized, dependable, able to multi-task and manage priorities, display Initiative, and have the ability to work independently in a fast paced environment. · Strong organizational, communication (verbal & written), and interpersonal skills are required to work as a team and for daily interaction with Moody's analysts. · Candidate must have the ability to quickly transition as priorities change to meet demands.
