The intern will report to the head of administration. In addition the accounting intern is expected to: (1) Update tax due date systems (2) Reproduction, Mail & File Room (3) Compile & Reproduce Financial Statements for delivery to clients (4) See that all outgoing mail is processed (5) File hard copy of Financial & Tax Return products & Update file database (6) Financial Statements Report Production (7) Check Statements in process for accuracy (8) Scan completed Tax returns for file (9) Final check/Review of all Client Financial Statements (10) Assist with audit engagements as needed SKILLS: (1) Proficiency with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required. (2) Excellent verbal and written communication skills. (3) Work well under pressure and within a team environment while being able to meet deadlines with accuracy (4) Excellent analytical, organizational and problem solving skills (5) Ability to work independently and exercise professional judgment while applying proficiencies of a trained accountant (6) Strong team player and active participant within the firm. (7) Demonstrated ability to multi-task and openness to work on a variety of assignments. REQUIRMENTS: Junior Currently studying accounting at an accredited University. Ability to work part time during Fall/Spring semester and Full time in Summer 2019.
