We are pleased to invite applications for a new $2500 scholarship, the Bessie Milson scholarship, to be given to a Social Science major or graduate student. The application deadline is April 23, 2012. The scholarship competition is open to upper sophomores, juniors, and first year graduate students in the Social Sciences with a 3.5 or higher GPA. Applicants should submit a 500-750 word essay addressing what the study of social sciences means to them as well as what receipt of the scholarship would mean for them and their education. Completed applications also require a letter of recommendation from a full-time faculty member in the Division. All materials must be received by the deadline.
