A Conversation with Dr. Saul Unter Dr. Saul Unter was raised in the Bronx and graduated from the City College of New York in 1960. He attended NYU dental school and graduated in 1964. Dr. Unter served as a Captain in the United States Air Force for two years until 1966. After the Air Force Dr. Unter pursued his Orthodontic certification part time from NYU while practicing dentistry. In 1972 he opened a private partnership specializing in Orthodontics. In 1976, he opened his own private practice which he held for over 30 years. In the 1970s, he also became a successful real estate entrepreneur and is currently principal owner of the Unterschatz, LLC.
