Well established public accounting firm located in Nassau County, Long Island is seeking an auditor to work in the firm's Payroll Compliance Audit department.

This position requires 25 to 30% of local travel.  

Experience a plus but will train the right candidate.

 Position Responsibilities

-Scheduling and coordinating audit appointments with employers.

-Traveling to employer facilities to conduct on-site inspection of records.

-Analyzing and reviewing payroll, payroll tax, personnel records and contracts

  to determine employer compliance with the collective bargaining agreements.

-Computing audit results and preparing audit reports.

 Job Requirements

-Bachelor's degree, must be business related, preferably in Accounting.

-Effective verbal and written communication skills.

-Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.

-Detail and number oriented focus.

-Ability to work independently as well as with others.

-Car necessary.
