Best, Diane REVENUE ACCOUNTING OFFICE The Revenue Accounting Office at Queens College is responsible for the accounting and reporting of tuition and fee revenue and income fund reimbursable finances. Our office also processes student refunds and student activity fee allocations. Job Title: College Assistant Location: Queens College Full/Part-Time: Part-Time, 20 hours per week Regular/Temporary: Temporary Job Description The College Assistant will report to the Finance Manager of Revenue Accounting. The College Assistant assists with financial activities including Tuition and Fee Revenue, Student Refunds, and other campus-wide financial areas. Specific duties include but are not limited to the following: * Assist in analysis and reconciliation of tuition and fee revenue * Query data from Student Financials to assist in preparing revenue projections and monthly collections reporting * Work with Finance Manager to maintain accurate and complete financial accounting of deposits and payments through CUNYfirst and Financial Edge * Perform monthly bank reconciliation * Other duties as assigned Skills and Specifications: * In-depth Knowledge of Oracle systems (Peoplesoft, CUNYfirst) preferred * Knowledge of Financial Edge or other general ledger systems preferred * Proficiency in Microsoft Excel including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and SUMIFs required (testing will be done at interview.) * Knowledge of basic principles and practices of accounting and financial analysis required * Excellent communication skills * GPA: 3.0+ To apply, please email resumes to diane.shults@qc.cuny<mailto:diane.shults@qc.cuny> – with College Assistant in the subject line.
