Details are below. ________________________________ POSITION DETAILS Reporting to the Queens College Finance and Business Affairs Director, the Finance Coordinator, will, in addition to the CUNY Title Overview, perform various tasks in the office of Accounting and Accounts Payable, including but not limited to the following: -Assisting with the preparation of data needed for budget analysis -Conducting payment audits to ensure accuracy and proper documentation -Assisting with the performing of month-end, quarterly, mid-year and year-end closings, and the preparation of financial statements and supporting schedules. -Assisting in preparation of IRS 1099 Misc. Form, 990 taxes, etc. for various non tax levy accounts. -Preparing and Uploading files into CUNYfirst for various Non Tax Levy Business Units -Preparing actions and reporting related to various Non Tax Levy Business Units which may include Cash Receipts, Accounts Payable invoices, Accounts Receivable Invoices and payments -Assisting with annual audits and reconciling reports. -Maintaining and recording spreadsheets pertaining to non-tax levy and tax levy accounts -Assisting with the reconciliation of statements of financial condition and preparing appropriate reports. -Updating and maintaining the department’s SharePoint site -Acting as liaison between departments and vendors. QUALIFICATIONS MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's Degree required. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS -Degree in Accounting or Finance -Higher Education experience -Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles -Knowledge of Blackbaud’s Financial Edge or other accounting software -Experience utilizing Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables and VLOOKUP), Word, Access, and SharePoint. -Knowledge of PeopleSoft/Oracle. -Excellent oral, written communication and organizational skills with high attention to detail and accuracy. -Ability to work directly with a team and independently.
