The program will explore the public accounting profession, as well as career paths at BDO. Students will attend presentations, panel discussions and meet a variety of BDO professionals, including recruiters, interns, associates, partners and senior leadership. This year’s program is on Thursday, July 15, 2021 from 12pm-2pm EST. PARTICIPANT REQUIREMENTS This program is open to students who are three or more years from graduation – typically rising college freshmen and sophomores. Filing / Documentation Maintenance * Prepare general ledger binders for all NOITU (National Organization of Industrial Trade Union) entities. * File supporting documentation in appropriate binders. * Transfer non-current data for basement storage. Data Entry and Analysis * Assist Cash Receipts and Accounting Teams with manual data entry tasks, including but not limited to cash receipt records, payroll audits, accounts payable, financial analysis and year end closings. Record Organization * Organize Accounting Department records by document type in accordance with NOITU’s record retention policy at the direction of the Assistant Controller and department staff. * Digitize records designated as permanent in a clear, organized fashion in the Accounting Department’s shared network drive. Work Experience / General Requirements: * Professional appearance and strong, positive work ethics. * Excellent interpersonal skills are required. Language(s): * English required. * Spanish preferred. This is a great way for students to get involved on campus while simultaneously making a difference.
