ALPFA is having an office visit at EY next Friday. EY is looking to recruit freshmen and sophomores for internship opportunities. Interested students must email their resume to alpfaqc(a)gmail.com by this Wednesday noon. There are only 10 spots available. Selected students will be contacted via email this Thursday. They will receive the time frame for the visit along with helpful tips on how to prepare for it.

The intern will report to the head of administration. In addition the accounting intern is expected to: (1) Update tax due date systems (2) Reproduction, Mail & File Room (3)Compile & Reproduce Financial Statements for delivery to clients (4) See that all outgoing mail is processed (5) File hard copy of Financial & Tax Return products & Update file database (6) Financial Statements Report Production (7) Check Statements in process for accuracy (8) Scan completed Tax returns for file (9) Final check/Review of all Client Financial Statements (10) Assist with audit engagements as needed SKILLS: (1) Proficiency with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint required. (2) Excellent verbal and written communication skills. (3) Work well under pressure and within a team environment while being able to meet deadlines with accuracy (4) Excellent analytical, organizational and problem solving skills (5) Ability to work independently and exercise professional judgment while applying proficiencies of a trained accountant (6) Strong team player and active participant within the firm. (7)Demonstrated ability to multi-task and openness to work on a variety of assignments. Preferred work days: Tuesday, Thursday and Friday REQUIREMENTS: Currently studying accounting at an accredited University.
