Dear Students:
Three scholarships totaling $7,500 are available.
1. $2,500 Business Forum Scholarship for Sophomores & Juniors;
2. $5,000 for 2 Investors Bank Scholarships of $2,500 each, any year
Awards will be made at the upcoming Business Forum on June 9th, 2017.
You need to submit the following documents, no later than Monday May 15th:
1) A letter expressing interest and need*
2) Transcripts
3) Resume
4) One to two letters of recommendation from professors
Consideration will be given to students who have been active in the
Business Forum and other QC related business events.

Queens College Business Forum Scholarship Competition
The sponsors of the Queens College Business Forum (Farrell Fritz,
Investors Bank, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Melrose Credit Union) are pleased to
announce the 2017 QCBF Scholarship competition. A $2,500 scholarship will be
awarded at the June 2017 Business Forum.
Guidelines for Application Business Forum Scholarship
The QCBF Scholarship is given to a student in one of the Queens College
business programs (Accounting, Economics, BBA, and BALA) with outstanding
academic performance and who demonstrates an enthusiasm and/or appreciation
for the field that suggests she/he will go on to a successful career.
Consideration will also be given to service to the community or to the College and
fellow students, as well as employment experience and extracurricular
activities.
In order to be eligible to apply or to be nominated, students must have at
least a 3.2 overall GPA and 3.5 in the major. Lower juniors and upper
sophomores are eligible to apply. Priority may be given to students who have
been active in the Business Forum.
Scholarships are not renewable.
Guidelines for Application Investors Bank Scholarship
The Investors Bank Scholarship is given to two students in one of the
Queens College business programs (Accounting, Economics, BBA, BALA, Risk
Management) with outstanding academic performance and who demonstrates an
enthusiasm and/or appreciation for the field that suggests she/he will go on to a
successful career. Consideration will also be given to service to the
community or to the College and fellow students, as well as employment
experience and extracurricular activities. Both undergraduate and graduate students
are eligible to apply.
In order to be eligible to apply or to be nominated, students must have at
least a 3.2 overall GPA and 3.5 in the major.

*Students must submit an essay of no more than 750 words that explains
their interest in their field of study and the courses that have been most
meaningful and interesting. The essay should explain how receiving the
scholarship would impact the applicant and should indicate future plans, including
both career plans and any plans for graduate study. Applicants are also
encouraged to write about some of their other interests beyond their major
field of study. Scholarships are not renewable.
