<div>Dear Colleagues, Please encourage your students who have demonstrated excellent commitment to service to apply for the 2013 John and Yorka Linakis Scholarship ( $1000 per student) described below.</div>

<div>The late John S. and Yorka C. Linakis were long-time residents and avid supporters of the borough of Queens. They were active in a multitude of community, civic, and interfaith organizations. Their philanthropic endeavors include a legacy of scholarships
to be granted to worthy Queens College students based on merit, financial need and a keen interest in the betterment of their communities.</div>

Undergraduate and graduate students from all majors are invited to apply. Scholarship applicants must demonstrate an outstanding record of service and academic performance as well as financial need. Scholarship awards will each be in the amount of $1000 and
recipients will be recognized College wide for their achievements.<br>
