Writing at Queens invites you to attend a Write to Learn workshop
featuring strategies to incorporate more writing into your classes
in the form of low-stakes, minimally graded assignments. The
fifteen-minute "write to learn" exercises we will discuss will give
your students techniques to use writing to help them understand
course material. Unlike longer essays or term papers, these kinds of
informal writing assignments are a useful way for students to
critically think about a lecture and for faculty to evaluate the
success of a class session. Those faculty teaching large-format
courses might find this workshop particularly useful.

The workshop will be held on both Tuesday November 13 and Wednesday
November 14 from 12:15 to 1:30 in President's Conference Room #2 in
