[Socrates] Generative AI: Two Virtual Workshops

The Center for Excellence in Teaching, Learning, and Leadership (CETLL) is pleased to invite you to two virtual workshops on Generative AI on Monday, November 13 and Monday, December 4. Both sessions will take place during free hour (12:15-1:30 p.m.) on Zoom.

You are welcome to register for one or both workshops. Participation in the November workshop is not a prerequisite for the December workshop.


Workshop 1, November 13. Generative AI and Chat GPT: an overview

We’ll discuss the basics about Generative AI, including how it works and what it can and can’t do, as well as its impacts on teaching and learning, the possibilities that generative AI open up in the classroom, and concerns about academic integrity and ethics. You’ll have an opportunity to engage with ChatGPT or other generative AI technology.


Workshop 2, December 4:  Generative AI and ChatGPT In Our Classrooms

This hands-on workshop is geared towards the implications of Generative AI in our teaching. There will be a brief overview of ChatGPT, examples of ways that QC faculty are responding to developments in Generative AI, including ChatGPT, and breakout discussion groups based on discipline.
