>From The Center for Excellence in Teaching, Learning, and Leadership and Queens College Project Reach:

In 2022, The Center for Excellence in Teaching, Learning, & Leadership (CETLL) and Queens College Project Reach (QCPR) presented a two-part faculty series on Acknowledging Neurodiversity and Removing Barriers. To help the increasing number of neurodivergent students succeed at Queens College, Sally Izquierdo (Psychology) collaborated with Neurodiversity Support Fellows Kartika Kumari and Gloria Livai to teach faculty about neurodiversity, inclusivity, and Universal Design for Learning (UDL).

In addition to two faculty presentations, “Neurodiversity in the Classroom<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__nam02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com_-3Furl-3Dhttps-253A-252F-252Fr20.rs6.net-252Ftn.jsp-253Ff-253D001EZN2GNwbXNWkCJ6nZAZ-5F5-5F4eLtOSVXNhMFn4e472DVjb1jd7Xt0Vxbwj8Z3yCTaYEtJ0MwSKQjzN2zUVBAjGZWlRKTCsnObFjUfow1AE0W1rtpr5FLqIPfj04qlmg-5F6duNcnBBflbV-5FKhY2jxDyEnF18lIPqk9Zjxz4LSAY9AeY5Tc5o8waiNQ-253D-253D-2526c-253DPvRlB5WOtH8pI8-5FIdIRY0YY5-5FGs4OU-2Dfugeac7ibI0a7OvHVnhv8Vg-253D-253D-2526ch-253D-2DA4Av-2DYWQm77-2DEHOcEimyl9azYQvRnDHnkbUK9cjwldmVito8dYlog-253D-253D-26data-3D05-257C01-257Cjkelly-2540qc.cuny.edu-257C8a32357ba87c45a5e19708db1bf1c248-257C6f60f0b35f064e099715989dba8cc7d8-257C0-257C0-257C638134497384433557-257CUnknown-257CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0-253D-257C3000-257C-257C-257C-26sdata-3DskudybdVujEu44bgYSLMy9kXeE2YrJqhW8Y9DKOhZRo-253D-26reserved-3D0&d=DwIF-g&c=mRWFL96tuqj9V0Jjj4h40ddo0XsmttALwKjAEOCyUjY&r=RyEweURvbYUoTGE--y3PxRGQneh9fnQcKfaED7PiUeI&m=DOYfTLujeK-fuq3WMI_3SRs55tZW1_HjsMGvVyQnJNfLlLt9s2kpeWK4lcXgo3Dx&s=Y3PMoU-ZE4q5bqdAODZsIMwgzGlnzoiGUFTgVd7PQk8&e= >” and “Acknowledging Neurodiversity and Removing Barriers for Autistic College Students,” Izquierdo created a Team site called the Neurodiversity Hub where faculty and staff can find resources that will help support neurodivergent students.

The resources in the Hub include Blackboard training links, research articles, an instructor checklist, and helpful books, podcasts, and websites. Members can communicate with one another on the platform with the post and chat functions.

Staff and faculty members can enter the Neurodiversity Hub by using the access code qazm3d5 on Microsoft Teams or by accessing the link<https://urldefense.proofpoint.com/v2/url?u=https-3A__nam02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com_-3Furl-3Dhttps-253A-252F-252Fr20.rs6.net-252Ftn.jsp-253Ff-253D001EZN2GNwbXNWkCJ6nZAZ-5F5-5F4eLtOSVXNhMFn4e472DVjb1jd7Xt0Vxbwj8Z3yCTaYnHIujIQA-5FTA-5FkiMPPAfXA3RVUe3q4my9NDvxRnMh-5FPUq8OlkpFRlzoRVYk8mStiBP5stAcssA-5F-5Fcah7jS1baB2ceLzWjJzOt3PU3Zz3AMOEmHIDIsWUcAtPfTQogH-5F9ZGIiEefKF2s77HYie74f1JM01eJFGwe05v7sb8KdSD3g-253D-2526c-253DPvRlB5WOtH8pI8-5FIdIRY0YY5-5FGs4OU-2Dfugeac7ibI0a7OvHVnhv8Vg-253D-253D-2526ch-253D-2DA4Av-2DYWQm77-2DEHOcEimyl9azYQvRnDHnkbUK9cjwldmVito8dYlog-253D-253D-26data-3D05-257C01-257Cjkelly-2540qc.cuny.edu-257C8a32357ba87c45a5e19708db1bf1c248-257C6f60f0b35f064e099715989dba8cc7d8-257C0-257C0-257C638134497384433557-257CUnknown-257CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0-253D-257C3000-257C-257C-257C-26sdata-3DG7qMoxePqLBERfxWkSZ85ohyanGpNE3I-252BxNjH3NInj4-253D-26reserved-3D0&d=DwIF-g&c=mRWFL96tuqj9V0Jjj4h40ddo0XsmttALwKjAEOCyUjY&r=RyEweURvbYUoTGE--y3PxRGQneh9fnQcKfaED7PiUeI&m=DOYfTLujeK-fuq3WMI_3SRs55tZW1_HjsMGvVyQnJNfLlLt9s2kpeWK4lcXgo3Dx&s=Yy5AtXm_ZJvmiXvhUTcbm1UsBsLUE47lsFya-i3_Bn0&e= > directly and logging in with a CUNYfirst account.
