[Socrates] Queens Memory Flushing History Panel

Hello all,


On Saturday, Jan. 21, Queens Memory will host a panel discussion on the history and future of development and growth in downtown Flushing.


Queens College Professor of Urban Studies Tarry Hum will contribute her expertise on this subject to the panel, which will be moderated by Philip Kasinitz, chair of the CUNY Graduate Center's Sociology program. Other panelists will be John Choe, executive director of the Greater Flushing Chamber of Commerce, and Irving Poy, director of planning and development with the Queens Borough President's Office.


The panel will be held at the Flushing Library from 2 to 4 pm, and a similar event will be held the following day in Mandarin. See flyer attached for more details -- hope to see you there!
